So, I wish this post could be about a fabulous get-a-way to California, but alas it is not. When I was younger and actually still to this day one of my absolute favorite movies is: Troop Beverly Hills I pretty much know every word in the movie and adore any cheesy movie with Shelly Long in it.
One of my main fascinations with the movie was getting an insider's view into the girl scouts world. I grew up in Manhattan and never got to experience much of the wilderness. I felt like kindred spirits with Shelly Long, because this is normally how I look when put in a woodsy situation:
Even during my wedding the best man's speech got a roar of laughter from the crowd at my expense when he mentioned that I went on an ice-fishing trip to Lake Placid with my husband.
This whole introduction's purpose is to give you all a mental image of me and the outdoors and then you will fully understand why it's shocking for me to say that I will be going canoeing with my husband today. Hmm I hope I come back in one piece and do not end up like this:
Don't worry I'll make sure to take pics and post later on to give everyone proof that I actually went.
Enjoy your Sunday, Funday!
