I woke up today to a beautiful morning in NY. It's sunny, the skies are clear and the temperature is suppose to be in the 60s. Perfection except along with Spring time comes Spring cleaning and that is what I'm trying to tackle to today.
Here are some before pictures of what my office is looking like now:
(Notice the only bit of lucite that Jon allowed in the house. I wanted a Ghost chair and he came up with a ceiling fan (boo) that he thought was totally necessary and thought he was compromising with me by getting it in lucite.. Umm...)
Here's a close up shot of the disaster:
Since I started to lose desk space my mess continued to move on to other parts of my office:
I'm normally a very organized person. To an extreme at most times so this is quite shocking to me. I'm in the works of designing a new look for this room and with that will be a new desk. So my project today is to not only clean up the mess you see on top, but tackle the files on the inside and see what really needs to be kept. I hope to have after pictures and some helpful organization tips for you all later on in the day.
Fingers crossed it won't take too long, because I would love to venture out today and enjoy some sunshine!
On a totally different note, but related to Spring time. One of my least favorite things about Spring time is that when the weather warms up Jon takes out his bike.
No, I'm not talking about this kind of bike:
I'm talking about something along these lines:
Here is the face I was meet with when I saw his motorcycle jacket out and ready:
Ah! At least he only works 7 miles away from home and has already called to let me know he arrived.
Looks like you have your work cut out for you! :) he he
ReplyDeleteBike bit was too funny! What are we gonna do with those boys??!!
xx
Kara
Yay! The new banner is up! It looks AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteAh, boys and their toys. I had to laugh, because the other kind of bike isn't that much better---think neon spandex and padded shorts...really masculine, right?
Yeah for spring cleaning! I laughed when I read that you are normally very neat and organized but when it comes to your desk its different, im the same way!! I am so anal over organizing and being neat its nuts, but my desk and craft areas almost always look like they threw up all over themselves :)
ReplyDeleteIf he gets a motorcycle, then you DEF need the ghost chair
ReplyDeleteYou and I are on the same wavelength today - my overlooked piles became all too visible to me this morning!
ReplyDeleteP.S. No to the Ghost chair? It would look fantastic in your office!
I second Sweet Nothing's motion!
ReplyDeleteBTW...are you and I the ONLY people doing this blog/design thing without a mac? I'm even MORE impressed you did all your new template goodies w/out one!
I can't wait to see how it turns out!! (although really- it's so bright & cheerful now!!) i'm worried about jon too. his bike needs to get "stolen!"
ReplyDeletexoxo
Your office isn't bad! But think how great it will feel when you've completed your project! Can't wait to see.
ReplyDeleteI am anxiously awaiting spring-like weather so can get on my scooter.....
My hubby has a motorcycle too!! He works downtown and claims it's better for parking... LOL
ReplyDeleteAlways good to do a little spring cleaning be it on a desk or bike! Enjoy the ride and show us when your office has been transformed!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat with my studio but it's even worse! You're motivating me to get to work. I can't wait to see how yours turns out. And thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm loving yours.
ReplyDeleteHey, love your new banner. She's doing mine next :)
ReplyDeleteLove that turquoise.
Your blog makeover looks great!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Audrey Hepburn photo...such a nice, chic touch! Yes, lady, it is too bad I'm back to work soon...being a lady who lunches would've suited me quite nicely! The weather has been so nice here too (slightly upstate). Love it:)
ReplyDeleteLove that office colour! I have one more birdie flying from the next soon so I'm dreaming about turning the 'rumpus' room into the studio! Great inspiration! Thanks.
