There are many designers in the Interior Design world that I admire. However, my main source of inspiration and who’s high-heels I would love to follow is none other than Kate Spade.
In my eyes she can do no wrong. Her use of color and her sense of style is untouchable. I love how she can mix a classic design with a dose of modern full of texture, pattern and color that comes off effortless and elegant. Not only do I vie for all of her handbags, clothing, shoes, jewelry, but also for her personal home decor which also translates into her amazing store design.
Enter Kate’s 5th Ave store:
I can’t describe how much I love those stripes. I love the clean, fresh look of this store and would love to use it as inspiration for a hip, young working women’s home. *Liz I mean you! You must email me so we can discuss your new apt!
Love the pop of orange and of course you always need a bit of zebra!
Close up of the orange wall. Love the pop of blue! The books in the desk look like they were all wrapped in paper to look uniform. Love that and thinking of doing it in my living room.
You can also take a sneak peek into the dressing room and that fab wallpaper. Ask me two years ago if I would ever want wallpaper in my home and the answer would have been a big fat NO, but now I would paper my whole house. There are so many amazing options out there.
Here is the other side of the wall with a different shade of blue. Of course the gallery wall is one of my favorites. I love the different frames used and the variety in the artwork. Plus the manniquins in front are rocking that striped skirt I’m lusting after!
I’m going to have to make a trip into the city to see it all in person and hopefully pick something up for myself. Sadly even though I love Kate I’ve never picked up anything there for myself. I was able to get my hands on some Kate in my china cabinet pick. Yay for weddings!
