So I thought last weeks recap was pretty boring, but I think I may have out done myself this weekend.
Regardless for some reason I love writing and telling you all what I did so please bare with me.
Saturday morning had my weekly weigh in at WW. Last week the word mad was an understatement when I was told I gained a pound. I proceeded to go home and eat brownies and cookies for pretty much all my meals that day. This week I lost 2.4 and reached my 10% goal. Now I only need to lose another 5 pounds and I’m back to my college weight! Hmmm maybe the brownies and cookies weren’t a horrible decision.
Speaking of brownies I’ve been toying with the idea of adding something else to my plate and doing a little baking business on the side with my sissys. We even came up with a name this weekend. We are leaning towards, “Brown-Eyed Brownies”. We all have brown eyes and we wanted brownie in the name so I think we are set. I’ll keep you all posted on the progress. It’s still in the very early planning stages.
Saturday afternoon we had a tour of Yankee Stadium. This is pretty humorous, because both me and Jon are not really big sports fan, but it was an outing given to both dads on father’s day so both my family and Jon’s family went.
It was only 45 mins long so it was short enough for me to keep my focus and pay attention to the tour. To be quite honest me and my sister kept trying to figure out a way to get Jeter’s knickers out of the locker room so that we could place them on ebay and make some capital for baking business. :)
After the tour we had lunch and then headed back home. Most exciting part of the day was seeing a huge sign for a store called Thrift Land, but no one else was excited so I never got to check it out. We then went home and I proceeded to fall asleep at 9:30 pm! I’m telling you it was pretty boring!
Sunday was spent sleeping in late. I guess falling asleep at 9:30 the night before wasn’t enough. I woke up at 10 am on Sunday, which never happens. It was a rainy, gross day, which meant home projects were going to get finished in doors!
I had a quick changes of plans though, because one of my sister’s came over with a list a mile long of things she needed to get before a work trip to Nairobi, Kenya and did I mention she left this morning so we were in quite the time crunch.
The day was spent running around searching for cargo pants and safari outfits and then home to help her pack.
Lucky lady that I am I came home at around 6pm and Jon had hung mirrors, stained shelves, painted doors, etc. All my home projects got done anyway!
The day ended with a nice long walk for the pups and my favorite Sunday night line up on HBO!
So my loves, what did you do this weekend?
I’m off to get some work done, check out Sept’s issue of House Beautiful, and maybe a little detour to the beach while it’s nice and sunny out!
If you haven’t already don’t forget to enter to win my latest give-away!
xoxo,
Camila
Kenya? How exciting! What is she going to be doing there?
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a baking business! Would you be shipping? Because I am no good in the kitchen but I definitely know how to put down a few (or a dozen) brownies :)
A little bit of shopping, a lot of laying out by the pool and a sweet at-home dinner date made up my weekend!
Thanks for posting!

My sister works for Human Rights Watch. They are setting up someone new in their Africa division and apparently that person's laptop needed a personal handler so my sister got the job to go and drop it off and then is staying for a bit longer to go on Safari. To say I'm jealous is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteI would totally be shipping the brownies. So don't you worry!
I'm totally with you on the WW thing... I did it for several months before plateauing and just couldn't get the motivation to get up off another 20 pounds! But my experience was that I ALWAYS gained slightly before a big drop. I really need to get focused on that again (I'm sitting next to a latte and pastry right now, bad).
ReplyDeleteMy man was gone all weekend, so I got a lot of little apartment projects done and went to a craft fair at the Seattle Center.
that's a really cute name for a baking business! if you did nothing but brownies with edges, I'd be a loyal customer.
ReplyDeleteI, too, spent the weekend indoors avoiding the torrential downpours but didn't leave the couch and the Weeds marathon that was in front of me.
i want a fun safari outfit! for the jungles of philadelphia.
Sounds like a fun weekend to me! And umm, can I PLEASE have some of those brownies right this second- they look divine!
ReplyDeleteSometimes your metabolism needs a little jump start after dieting for a while... it eventually starts to slow so the OCCASIONAL indulgence is actually good for you :] The trick is to keep it occasional and not convince yourself that your old habits were "occasional" (like me lol)
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting job she has!
ReplyDeleteI would have been really excited to tour the stadium, but I am a baseball fan.
will be looking forward to the brownies.
um...wow how exciting and cool is that!?
ReplyDeletegirl 930 is early...you should see my timeline...BAD!
ReplyDeleteBaking biz?! That's awesome! I love the name! My weekend involved too much work to speak of :-). And good for you on your weight loss! Congrats, that represents a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteBrown Eyed Brownies? How cute is that.
ReplyDeleteI just got back from the beach yesterday so although my weekend was fabulous, I'm now dealing with mountains of laundry.
Ummm, totally yes on the brownie baking business. I'm envious beyond belief and hope you blog about your business creation journey!
ReplyDeleteHow very exciting about the possibility of your "brown-eyed brownies". Looking forward to hearing more!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I am 47% at my goal..keep up the work! dieting is such a struggle, isnt it!!
ReplyDeletei'm dying to go see the new stadium..I'm also hoping to get back for a giants game this fall before they leave the meadowlands( or heaven, as my dad says)
I'm dying to go on a safari, that's so exciting. Congrats on your WW success. Love the name of the new business, you should totally go for it.
