Most girls dream of the day when they get something sparkly in a little blue box.
Throughout my teen years and early twenties I was more excited about what was inside the box then the actual box itself.
But now nothing makes my heart-pitter patter more than a stylish box that I can use to accessorize my rooms. My love for tiffany blue has turned into a full blown affair with ORANGE.
Hermes boxes to be exact and I’m not going to lie for a Hermes box I would be equally excited to see what is inside.
{Now this is a bit over-kill, but you get the idea.}
Now Valentine’s day came and went this year and sadly a Hermes box was not in the cards, but I found a delightful and yummy solution for my orange box addiction, because Valentine’s day did bring these.
They are delicious champagne truffles from Jacque Torres that come in a chic orange box.
Now for practically pennies compared to what comes in a Hermes box I get my pop of orange and a chocolate treat!
My orange box has already made it into my living room and I’m in love!
So, my loves, how was your weekend? Any wonderful treats from your cupid?
We don’t really do a big thing for Valentine’s day, but I did come home Saturday evening from a busy day in the city to home cooked meal, a handmade card made with a whole lot of love.

I have been searching for a stack of pretty boxes for my house. Also I know the excitement of the tiffany blue box. I can't throw them away even after I have opened it. I love those boxes.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I love that little trinket on top of your orange box. And I have that same cupcakes cookbook. I got a puppy for Valentines day. I begged and cried for it. Also every year I tell him I want chocolate and every year he gets me the same Ghiardelli squares that I by myself at Target each week. Then I tell him I want a heart shaped box of chocolate and then he says, I thought you would think those are cheesy. I love cheesy. Every year, the same conversation. Sorry for the novel. I will stop now.
ReplyDeleteoooh how nice, I have to check if they sell them in England, it's a good way to soothe the Hermes craving :) and the chocolate one too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Ah! Love that! I do love the happy bright, well crafter Hermes box but who could pass up an equally gorgeous box with some sweets inside?! Marija
ReplyDeleteI love pretty boxes and the chocolates were just a sweet bonus. Looks like you received two gifts in one!
ReplyDeleteI'm a box collector, too! Hermes, T&C, LV, Vosges, and even Ross-Simons are pretty!
ReplyDeletei was sick. boo.
ReplyDeletebut your orange box makes me feel slightly better.
the chocolates in my mouth would make me feel EVEN better.
Hit up Ebay to get your Hermes box fix, in the meantime, enjoy those truffles!
ReplyDeleteI hoard my tiffany's boxes from wedding gifts still!! Love them!
ReplyDeleteDave's gift to me was fixing a few dings my car has picked up over the last few years -- not particularly romantic, but very much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteForgive me, but I can't figure out how to sign up for email updates for your blog! I can see where to follow you on twitter, and subscribe via feeds that you have to actively check (but then I always forget to check) but I don't see where to get email updates.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Emily
Ooooh what's better than an Hermes box!? Do you think its weird I think the 2 best shades of Orange are on an Hermes box and a Veuve Cliquot label?? My latest search is for a pretty vintage hate box!
ReplyDeletechocolate and a pretty box. What more could you want?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE HERMES orange too!! oh yes and anything in a Tiffanys box!!
ReplyDeletewhat a great substitute!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of all the chocolate I'm going to have to eat to get a few great boxes...it would be worth it!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree - I would take a Hermes box over a Tiffany's box any day. For both the box and what's inside! Love this post!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the Tiffany box but have never seen the Hermes box although I've been wanting the Hermes serving tray for years! Isn't it funny a color can evoke such strong feelings! I had a great Valentine's Day, my hubby and I always try a new restaurant and have a date night out!
ReplyDeleteBig fan of orange- both the pop of color and in the Hermes box. Great find on the chocolates!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!!
My college roommates Dad is the Manager of Tiffany's in Seattle. We use to go in and they'd let us try on the jewels. We had quite a few little blue boxes too...but they were empty.
ReplyDeleteLove the turquoise and orange together!
I love printed boxes, Tory Burch's shoe boxes are awesome too and they bring alot of color to my shoe closet! I love that little nugget ontop of the orange box!
ReplyDeleteEh hem, no comment on the little box above your orange box, that a certain SOMEBODY got you in Croatia.
