Sometimes a girl just needs a little pick me up to make her smile! Whether it be a new shirt or going out for a manicure we all love to treat ourselves.
I know we are all on a budget these days so I must share my latest little gift to myself. Yesterday I made an impulse purchase at Michaels.
The dollar section gets me every time! Yesterday it was full of yellows and grays with stripes and polka dots galore. They had stylish ribbon with a chain link pattern plus chic knobs that could be used on an old dresser or placed on a wall to hang jewelry.
I went home with these:
I use pencils for my floor plans, which are done by hand so these pencils will make me feel a bit more stylish while I do them.
Any other great inexpensive treats that you want to share with all?
Oh, I love the dollar stops at Michaels and Target.
ReplyDeleteTarget has great little buckets to store stuff in. As a mom, they work with kids stuff, crayons, glue. I would think they'd work the same for a designer since you use lots of different pieces to create.
I do NEED those gray and white striped pencils....
ReplyDeleteoh pretty I wish we had Michaels and Target
ReplyDeletethose pencils make me so happy!! I have got to get some for stocking stuffers for my sisters. thanks for the tip!!
ReplyDelete3 for 5 dollars daffodil bouquets at whole foods and 5 dollar hanging boston ferns at lowes. word.
ReplyDeletereally cute pencils, good pick from the dollar store.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute pencils! Yay for the dollar section.
ReplyDeleteI hit up the same section when I was there on Tuesday!! I loved all that grey and yellow stuff
ReplyDeleteLove the pencils! I'm always troving the dollar bins at Target myself, but I see I need to hit up Michael's!
ReplyDelete...Just indulged in a set of Jonathan Adler post-it notes. More than a $, but still pretty cheap considering how adorable they are!
The dollar bins at Michaels have been a treasure trove lately, my sister always sends me fun treats from her local Michaels!
ReplyDeleteThose pencils are a great score!
What a coincidence that you would blog this, I just hit up these same bins! I hardly ever shop at Michaels, but I'm so glad I did this week because our wedding colours are grey and yellow. I bought a huge stack of blank cards to use as 'thank you' cards for under $25. I'll blog about them soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting! I'm doing a grey/yellow party in a month, so I'm going to sneak over tomorrow and load up on fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to grab some of those pencils, they are a perfect prize for our Easter bingo game.
ReplyDeleteThose pencils would look great in my office (I never use them, but what does that matter?!).
ReplyDeleteI've also found some great notecards in the dollar bins there lately, and a few weeks ago, I got a stamp with my initial on it.
I think a cup full of sharpened pencils looks so good on a desk.
ReplyDeleteI love the dollar section at Michaels, it's so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the dollar store for when I am doing a party for my daughter. Those pencils are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love multiples of anything. When something is just $1, you can snap up an armful and not feel guilty. Everything is more interesting when done en masse. I could see an entire glass apothecary jar filled with those pencils.
ReplyDeleteso tempting! haha They're chic pencils!
ReplyDeleteSo great! I will have to check out my local store and see what knobs they have! Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE the dollar section at Michaels and Craft warehouse! I find all sorts of amazing things without breaking the bank!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for that dollar section at Michael's too. Last month it was filled with Pink Damask goodies and I, of course, couldn't leave the store without a few things.
