This weekend I was very honored to be asked by the NYDC to help them out during their DIFFA table event.
Their theme this year was CONNECTED. So when you arrived at their table you were not only able to meet some of your favorite bloggers (aka me on Saturday from 10-11:30), but you could also tweet live during their event and even snap pictures with their camera that will be featured on their facebook page so you can become a fan and tag yourself.
My sisters and mom came as my favorite fans so of course they had to grab the camera and snap a picture of me!
Since people were being shy they kept asking to take pictures of us instead. So me and Alix from the NYDC got in a picture together. Now you get to see my dress in action!
Here is a close up of their table. They had one of my favorite color combos with chartreuse green and turquoise blue being the staring colors of their table.
To keep the CONNECTED theme going they even used keyboard keys as place cards! People loved this touch.
People also loved these Baker chairs that not only had amazing tufting on them, but also added glam with a bit of nail head trim and a pull on the back. Plus they were apt friendly, because they were quite slim and petite, but still very comfy.
Across from this table was a table that immediately caught my eyes due to the pennies on the walls!
JCPENNEY used only Cindy Crawford designs in their booth and it was a big hit. From the open shelving on the walls to the lattice backed chairs people loved the look that could easily go in many people’s homes.
Designer Brad Ford’s table had to be one of my favorites. It wasn’t a massive set-up, but the table was full of piggy banks all throughout. The actual table was plexi-glass and there were slots throughout where you could make a donation. I even spotted some $50 bills in there!
Manhattan Magazine went with a welcoming pop of color. Loved seeing all of the bright yellow. Plus it didn’t hurt that they used some of my favorite lucite stools! (Totally trying to convince Jon they will look lovely in our kitchen, but he has yet to budge on the matter.)
Here is a close up of the table. Loved the mini taxi cabs on the place settings and the mini city-scape with the buildings sprinkled throughout the table.
One last favorite was the table designed by David Beahm for Continental Airlines. It gave off an Alice in Wonderland vibe that I really loved.
Now I wasn’t the only blogger in attendance. I’m so sad that I didn’t get to meet up with any bloggers, but after my time was up at the NYDC booth I needed to head out for a client meeting.
You can check out other blogger’s experiences here: A Schematic Life, Good Bones, Great pieces and ABCD DESIGN.
A big thank you to all the lovely ladies at the NYDC for thinking of me. I had a great time and I’m already looking forward to seeing what you come up with for next year!
