The elephant in the room…

I love devouring every page of LONNY and do to a silly thing called work I’ve yet to finish the whole thing. I was happy to log on to High Street Market and see a little elephant staring back at me.

Looks like I’m not the only one with an elephant obsession.  Courtney from Style Court seems to feel the same way as me!

I love picking up elephants from my travels as a little reminder of a trip, but I also have no shame in snatching them up from Pier 1 or my local Chinatown!

Here are some of my favorites:

These little guys are only $40 and calling my name.

How is this not in my home already?

I tend to like my guys with their trunks up for good luck, but I do some around my house with their trunk facing down.

Do you have a little or a lot collection of elephants in your home?

I love pictures so share!

  4. Love love love this post! Elephants are my favorite animal & although I don't collect elephant things, I do frequently buy them when I see them :)

I am living in Germany with my soldier husband ♥ & recently found an elephant very very similar to the one you have pictured last here. I bought it for 5 euro, or about $8. It's fantastic! They had more than one...I might have to go back for another!

Hey - I would love to get your opinions on rug designs over at my blog! I'm asking for opinions on what styles people like best, and what designers want to see right now. ;-)

  9. Actually, I was going to email you about elephants this weekend!! We're doing a Babar theme for the babies' corner in our bedroom, and I'm looking for inexpensive elephant-y bookends. Probably in white or bright green or maybe even bright red? Any ideas for a source??

  12. @ Tara--Try Barnes and Noble. That's where I bought mine. They are bronze, though, but I am sure you can paint them. I just haven't worked up the nerve to do it!

Cam--you know I have elephants in my house! I only buy ones with the trunk up. :)
