Matchbooks…

A while back Erika showed off one of her latest flea market finds.

She was lucky enough to find a huge book full of matchbooks and decided to do this with it:

I was wandering all over Boston Public Library flickrs page from this mornings post and found this!

A whole section dedicated to matchbooks:

There are over 400 of them! If you have the time for a whole bunch of printing and patience to line them you up you can recreate Erika's look for less.

  1. Oh, this is lovely! I am inspired... but lack matchbooks. Although I have a ton of boarding passes. :)

  3. Hmm... I have a collection of about 180 postcards. Maybe I could do something similar with them? I've been trying to figure out for years how to display them.

Tara should frame those postcards -maybe 2 to 3 per frame!

ps: I have a giveaway going on!

  10. Those are so neat! I've got a bunch of flick pages bookmarked with tons of vintage matchbook pics and I'm thinking of printing them and framing them on a gallery wall

  15. My brother has collected matchbooks for years, I'll have to show him this. Unless, of course, he sold his collection to Erika... ha, ha
