Look for less: Vertical Stacked Bookcases

A while ago we all fell in love with Erin's bookcases:

Now Erin's were from DWR and still available for $198-$298.

Sapien Bookcase

CB2 has a version for $189:

West Elm also joined in on the fun and has their own version in wood on sale now for $149:

Spine Wood Bookcase

I think that if you know what wall you want your books to reside on I would go with this option:

It’s $9.99 for a small and $12.99 for a large.

You simply place the silver shelf in your back cover:

And then just stack away. Each shelve holds up to 20 lbs.

I would do a couple vertically up a wall and voila you get the same look for much less!

  1. That would make a crazy adorable nightstand for a bedroom cramped on space. Great find!

  2. I have always loved these bookcases. I was actually thinking that I might make my own and mount it right onto the wall. I would have to wait until I moved out of my rental though...

  4. I have the shorter DWR one, and I love it! My husband, then boyfriend, gave it to me years ago for a present. and it gets so many compliments when guests visit. In my first NYC apartment I had it in my entry way, and it became an instant conversation piece as guests would scan my titles as they entered/exited and would ask how I liked various books.

  6. I have one of the CB2 shelves in my office and while I love the look of it, it's SO not practical with a little one walking around. He just loves to pull the books out. Wish I would've thought of that before I bought it. Oh well, it looks cool and that's all that really matters, right. : b
