I've been at the computer all day long, every day for the last couple of days trying to finish up the new blog. It's exhausting. I think I'm going to need a massage appointment after it finally launches.
One of the items on my to-do list was set up a fan page for
Effortless Style, which I did! Yay for that! Of course because me and technology are known to have a love/hate relationship I've spent hours searching for how to make my blog feed show up on the fan page and while I can find a million and one instructions every time I try and follow the steps I find that my page doesn't have all of the buttons/tabs/etc that are required.
Anyone have any ideas?

If you do Networked Blogs, the feed can show up on your fan page. Usually, I just put the link on my fan page manually after I publish a post.
ReplyDeleteWe use something called RSS Graffiti. Just installed it on the facebook fan page and linked it to our tumblr. there is a bit of a delay, but no problems
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely not a facebook or blog expert. :-( I just manually put my post links on my page after I publish them on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI liked you on Facebook...and I really do like your style!
ReplyDeleteWordpress has an application called publicize, where you can have your blog pop up on your facebook page. I remeber it being easy, because I was able to do it. :) If your new blog is using a wordpress platform, I would research that. If not, I have no help. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteI do the same as Remix. I manually post to my facebook page after posting my blog. Easy for me, but I am certain there are other ways, but that gives me the chance to check messages and respond to comments.
ReplyDeleteI use Networked Blogs, there is a bit of a delay so I often post it manually and end up with double posts!!!! I love your style and really enjoy reading your blog. I've liked your FB page and added you to my blogroll.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I've been thinking about a Fan Page because I am a children's author. Love your blog. BTW, you are very creative:)
ReplyDeletei use "my blog posts" to post on my fan page. after i publish a post it usually posts to my facebook w/in 30 minutes. so there is no manual posting.
ReplyDeletenot advertising, but if you go to my fan page, under one of my post you can use the link to set yours up! http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-Little-Blue/165968433431442
hope that helps!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteNetworked Blogs works great (but there can be some complications in setting it up, and delays of up to 24 hours before the thing shows up on your Page).
Facebook Notes also can subscribe to an RSS feed.

The only downside of using social media to get the company name out there is that it is very time consuming.
