Guilty Pleasure...

Years ago I was introduced to the The Thorn Birds

You know that amazing mini series (Now available on DVD. A fact that Jon hates) about the classic boy meets girl love story. Except the boy in this case turns out to be a much older man that was sort of your father figure and also a Priest. Whoops, but you fall in love with him anyway...

I swear anytime I'm in a bad mood and just want to have a veg on the sofa kinda day this series gets popped into the DVD player.

Imagine my delight when I found this:

Officially obsessed. After multiple viewings of the series I think I owe it to myself to read the book.

Also available on Neopolitan are these:

These teeny boxes would make for a great little gift all alone or pop in a gift card and sweeten the deal even more. Only $5!

  1. Oh my goodness! I read the book in 5th grade-- I was a precocious child and my mom was a bit tired out by the time I came around! Anyway, LOVED it and LOVED the movie. Enjoy!

  6. Great find! I remember the series on TV in the 80's...my mom like all those mini-series. I think Danielle Steele was in the mix as well.

    Best,

  7. Oh My! I love, love, love this movie!!!!! Seen it many times...it is amazing!!!! So funny because when it gets gloomy and cold outside (around this time of year in New England) I like to pop a period piece drama in my dvd and sit back and get lost in it! I just did a post on one of my many, many ,many favorites. You absolutely HAVE to check it out....your hubby will go bonkers now (many of these are blissful hours long)! Please stop by and jot down some of them...you won't be sorry and you will be happily amused (and love the lead male actors too)! Have fun and great post (haven't read the Thorn Birds book, you have motivated me too!)
