Blog Crush: Color me Katie

I’m in the final steps of finishing my bedroom. All I have left to do is get one more roman shade, order some ribbon to customize my curtain panels and then oh yea artwork. Artwork might seem like a huge project, but I actually already know what I want. Since it’s our bedroom I would really love it to have pictures of us! Now that would seem pretty easy, because I do already have pictures of me, my hubby and our two pups, but of course it’s never that easy, because I want new, cool, hip shots to put up.

Of course by just describing the pictures as cool and hip you can totally understand how un-cool and hip I am. I need help!

Whenever I need some inspiration or desire an answer to a question the blog world always comes up with the perfect answer.

Enter my latest blog crush, Color me Katie.

From her blog I gather that she is totally sweet, has an amazing sense of humor, loves to get people to smile, loves her boyfriend, knows how to have fun, takes amazing pictures and has a pet named Moo!

Ok so they aren’t the same type of animal, but they are both boys and black and white.

Katie’s blog is filled with all sorts of fun projects that she takes part in like her Brooklyn thought bubble project and Shadow project.

She even went around Brooklyn and spread some love around:

Her love of paper and fun doesn’t stop there. She fills her apartment with some amazing pieces of art as well.

In reading her blog I also found out that she does freelance photography! Yay! She totally answered my question of where to get amazing, quirky, unique artwork of me and Jon.

Don’t you just love her business card?

I’m going to call her up and see if I can get some shots for my master bedroom. I’m in love with this shot of her and her honey.

If you are in a bad, cranky or any mood I totally suggest getting lost in Katie’s world. She’ll make you smile, feel like a kid again and totally forget all of your problems.
