She grew up in Savannah and loves using her memories of the beach in her designs, which help her showcase tropical colors and effortless living.
Her interior design firm is located in Connecticut where she has lived for 25 years, but she recently decided to purchase a Pied-a-terre in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Her formula for this apartment was to step away from her traditional formula and work with white lacquered walls, abstract artwork and a mix of high and low.
Her goal was to achieve symmetry, simplicity. and sophistication. I think you will agree that she hit all points and still kept true to her beachy roots.
My favorite parts has to be the use of orange and coral throughout the home, the amazing striped roman shades, the touch of zebra and of course the monogrammed pillow. (I would expect nothing less from a Southern lady)
Did you have any favorites?

ReplyDeleteI love it. I think orange is the best for just a punch of color.
ReplyDeleteI heart orange. I used it all over my kids' playroom makeover and I just love it. It's such a punch of color wherever it appears. I especially love it paired with white and peacock blue. Swoon.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog... great post! I would never think to mix orange and silvery-tan together but now that I see it (in the first 2 pics) I think it's brilliant.

ReplyDeleteThis house is SO pulled together - I love it when a designer carries a theme throughout. My favorite: the bed - the fabric on the bench, the monogrammed pillow, the colored pillow behind, and the trim on the euros - perfection.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you have seen this orange makeover, if not check it out!
