Twist of Lime
One of my favorite parts of Sunday is getting my hands on the style section of the NY Times. I love reading up on all the wedding announcements, but my absolute favorite section has to be the On the Street and Evening Hours by Bill Cunningham.
In, “On the Street” Mr. Cunningham photographs everyday New Yorkers and what you get to see is a montage/college of sorts with a certain theme every week.
Evening Hours is more photographs from Mr. Cunningham, but in these he photographs high-society events that this high-heeled gal would never get invited to and is way too chicken to crash.
This weeks theme in Evening Hours was a twist of lime. I thought it would be fun to do an interiors version so here is my rendition of a twist of lime!
So, how do you like your dose of lime?
Would you pair it with chocolate brown or teal?
Or is lime way too fruity for you (yes, I am that cheesy)?

Oh love it! And I love the Style section too!:) Such a refreshing pop of color to add to a home.
Loving this, I am going to have to start reading the Style Section. I like it with teal, in small doses it is not too fruity for me!
Love it! Great post!
No need to twist my arm for a squeeze of lime. Somehow it makes everything looks fresher - just as Bill does....I made it to the style section...long ago!
pve
I'm with Marianne - in small doses, but like it most with good 'ol WHITE (I know, I'm boring!)
I'm a fan of it with teal, especially with white, like the kitchen you posted, bee-you-tee-ful...
I'm with Marianne--love it with teal!!! As an accent, tho! I also really like it with white.
I love a twist of lime! (Especially in a cocktail ;) I also like to pair it with turquoise or orange. Love your blog!!!
Love the examples you found - especially the hutch. So unique and bold!
I'm adding a twist of lime to plain white Ikea curtains in the form of grosgrain ribbon trim. They'll look sharp in our chocolate brown room! Love that entryway with the green console table.
Besides in my adult beverages, I'd like my lime in that console table from SweetPea and Willow. Gorgeous!
That wallpaper and the sarieeen table is one of my fav pics! i just love it!
Yes, the wedding announcements are the best. Love them.
The kitchen is my favorite pop here. I think it's the blue and green popping together that make it work for me.
Love it, especially in the kitchen image! Great post!
I did my son's nursery in white, sky blue and chocolate but the pop were the lime green accents I used for baskets, wall decor, etc. It really gave the room an extra bit of interest.
I'm liking it against that taupe wallpaper, although honestly I think navy blue and lime are my ultimate color combination.
I like my lime any and all ways, as long as its in a strong drink.
Haha- just kidding, well not really but we are talking decor here not beverages :)
But for real, I will take my lime anyway- I love the color period.
I love that lime green table with the mirror over it. I have an old desk that I was planning on painting blue... but now I might have to consider lime instead!
Thanks, as always, for the fantastic post!

the twin beds, the kitchen i love it all!! and nothing wrong with being fruity!!
Fun post! I love that lime table in the entry way, as well as the first picture!
I would consider lime in very small doses, paired with brown.
ahhh love the pics! and def. with brown. :D the kitchen is out of control!
I love brown with punches of lime. I have done that throughout my living room and dining room and I love it. The teal would be beautiful too. I love this post!
looks great..our style section here is BBOOOOOORIIIIING
I love lime green - I love any green really ! and always paired with white, but I love it with accents of chocolate as well.. great post..
that was cheesy, but funny!!
