Inside LS Fabrics

Since I’ve mentioned many times that fabric selection has to be one of my favorite parts of being a decorator I needed to get a behind the scene look at what goes on in a fabric shop.

The people at LS Fabrics were more than happy to help me out.

Operations Manager, Tyrone Caudle went to work and had people snap pictures of him throughout his day.

First thing is to of course open the store. They have a 60,000 sq ft showroom and customers come from as far as 100 miles away for fabrics and trim!

I think I would go swatch crazy if I was able to cut them myself!

Look at all of those fabrics. I love nothing more than a row of color coded fabrics.

Bolts and bolts of fabric:

They also carry furniture that can be covered in their fabrics. Be still my heart. Look at those tufted pieces.

It looks like the majority of Tyrone’s day is spent making customers happy. Whether it be by answering questions over the phone, cutting orders in the store or helping move furniture around it seems like he is always on the go.

Many moons ago I was a store manager for a small consignment shop and my day was spent like this as well. I loved getting involved in so many different aspects of the business and it just reaffirmed my desire for wanting to be a shop owner one day!

If you haven’t already head on over and enter the $100 LS Fabrics give-away. If you already enter you can enter twice if you friend them on facebook!

So jealous I can’t enter it myself!

What a fun job! I would have no pay check left to take home if I worked there! That is so nice of them to share their day.

Wow, I'm amazed that Tyrone took the time out to do that for you! What a sweet guy! And some seriously awesome fabrics, too, of course. :)

tyrone is such a sweetheart, i'm not at all surprised he was willing to do this! my favorite part of the store has to be staceage - such fun stuff! i worked for an interior designer for a while, and spent many-a-day hanging out with tyrone and the other folks at lewis and sheron. they are all fantastic!

So cool! If I ever get to ATL I'm definitely going to check out the store that I've ordered so many swatches and yards from!
