Because I just felt like it…

bunnywilliamsredchair

Had a super long day filled with another meeting with my seamstress (Don’t worry this time I was early!), home projects (still painting things white) and dealing with horrible internet connection, which only let me get access this evening.

It did have some highlights though. I got to read all of your lovely comments. Thanks for all the sweet words on the cards! I’m so happy that you all like them! Huge relief!

Since I had no internet access I was able to relax a bit and enjoyed some time reading outside, cooking dinner and then finally eating dinner. Yum!

Part of my reading was this months House Beautiful and I was totally caught off guard by the cover. I loved the blue walls of course, but I really loved the use of the red chair even more, which is surprising since it’s not really a go to color for me.

In the article Bunny Williams is question as to why she added it the red chair and I just loved her answer.

Her response: “ Because I just felt like it.”

Excellent response! I think this is a great piece of advice for anyone decorating their own home. If you totally “get” a piece and seeing it living in your home then go for it! Who cares what other people think! Let your rooms have a bit of life in them!!!

Thank goodness for letting feelings guide us to love things, just because! That room is chock full of good.

I have used that answer before to clients and then laughed it off but it worked. ;)
