All fenced in…

whitefencecountryliving

Today started out with a bang. First it was complete excitement, because yay the fence company was coming to install our new fence. This means that the dogs can now go hang  out in the backyard when it’s nice out and let mommy work in doors!

We woke up early, walked the dogs, got ready for the day and right when Jon was getting ready to leave for work we realized we didn’t have a fence permit yet!

That had us running out the door with me as the navigator, because I had been to Town Hall before. Well let’s just say that I can get lost in a paper bag especially under pressure and I had us going up and down streets until we finally found it. We thought we were home free, but we were wrong. Our paperwork needed to be notarized and we got to drive to 3 different places before we actually found a notary already in the office!

Back to Village Hall we submit our paperwork, pay the fee and then are told it will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Well that’s great, because the fence company is due any second now.

We figured we would go ahead anyway since we had the receipt for requesting the paperwork and it was just a matter of time.

The crew just arrived and I’m already going nutty. My dogs go CRAZY when they hear outsiders so they’ve spent the last 30 minutes barking non-stop.

Oh I’m sure I’m in for a treat today with them, but at least once it’s up I’ll let them have some alone time away from me in the backyard.

These pics remind me of the town of Oyster Bay...which always reminds me of Cape Cod! Good luck with the fence...I love the idea of my dog being outside with me...we're doing a deck this year!

And you have done all of that today!? Wow. Well good work, very good work. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs and it is heaven--well worth the hassle:)

Also, tell you husband I am sorry:) My brother gets mad at me all the time for posting things that he can't afford for his girlfriend.

I am so into fences right now. I used to not like the idea of being all fenced in but now it just seems so darn cozy as your images attest to. Can't wait to see pictures of yours!

Well everyone I survived. The fence crew just left due to heavy rain! They have to come back next week to finish it, but the dogs behaved better than expected. They went on an additional walk in the afternoon and come home sleepy so all has been quiet!

One of the main things I loved about our house when we first saw it was the fenced-in backyard. Our dogs LOVE it and it's so easy for us. I'm glad it all worked out for you guys...isn't homeownership such a mystery?!

BTW...I am on the fence (er...no pun intended!) about going to Doms tomorrow. I would love to, but living outside of the city now makes it an hour trip in...and I'm thinking 8am is the latest you can arrive, right? I don't know...the whole being-tired-and-constantly-having-to-pee thing seems to be holding me back these days! But PROMISE you'll take lots of photos, k?!

Have fun!!
