Word around the design world is that sea foam green is the newest trend in neutrals!
I love it, because it reminds me of Jadeite milk glass.
I love it so much that I’ve had my kitchen painted a shade of sea foam green for 2 years now and the color continues to be sprinkled throughout my first floor.
Here are some of my favorite inspiration shots in shades of seafoam green/jade:
For this Domino room the choose a pretty pale shade of sea foam green and I will have to agree with the design world that it’s a pretty great neutral.
Here it is in a bit of darker shade and I’m in love with all of this! The paint color, the mouldings and those amazing oil paintings!
Source unknown. Can anyone help with that?
This has always been a favorite room on mine from Cottage Living. Love the pops of green in the headboard and touches of it in the fabric around the room.
My first favorite item in this Country Living room has to be those white painted floors, but right after that comes the wall color. It’s so soothing.
Found this image on Design Sponge. I love how the use of sea foam green makes the room and doesn’t distract at all.
Oh favorite hallway from Domino.
Do you think you would get tired of too much sea foam/jade in this kitchen from House to Home?
The use of sea foam doesn’t have to be a huge impact it can used in small doses if you aren’t quite sure about it yet.
I would love a bathroom like this in my dream beach cottage.
This room from Veranda is just jaw dropping! Plus love the mixture of the sea foam with gold and wood and yellow accents.
Not only do I love the chic magazine storage in this Martha Stewart living spread, but again we have a dose of sea foam on the walls.
This shade of green is exactly like my favorite jadeite milk glass pieces. I love the old school look to it all! { via Sunset}
One of my latest favorite uses of the color sea foam is this room designed by Joni of Cote de Texas. I love all of it. The space was an open floor plan so the seafoam green fills all of the walls and is a perfect example of how it can be used as a neutral and overwhelm.
I also love that Joni repeated my favorite Windsor Smith fabric all throughout the house.
So what do you think? Are you open to sea foam green? I know in most cases people might see it used more in beach house environment, but I think from the images above you can see that it is great in all styles.

You have me sold.. LOVE it! xx
a favorite paint of mine is silver sage from Restoration Hardware. I've lived with it for ten years on the walls in three houses. I never thought of it as the new neutral, but I SO AGREE. Thanks for the great post!

I like it! Our living room growing in the 80s was the color du jour, sea foam green. I swore I would never like the color again and now I do. All the shades you showed here are much less intense than the color I remember, maybe that's it. Regardless, yesterday I saw a closet painted this color and loved it, too. Hmmm. tomorrow's blog post?
in my last apartment i had the bedroom painted seafoam green. i took a lot of inspiration for the color scheme from the pbteen catalog.
I love jade milkglass. Haven't started a collection of my own yet. I've started with a pistachio kitchen aide mixer ;)
such a relaxing color, and lovely images. i love the bathroom with all of the starfish, a perfectly beachy room!
Love it! I have it in 3 rooms in my house with yellow accents. I call it sea glass green..sea foam sounds too much like bad wedding decor! Maybe my color has a little more blue in it but it is in the same family!!
Great color, I'm thinking of painting my kitchen island a shade of Sea Foam green, do you know how happy I am to see this post???!!! Janell
Love Jadeite and I have this color in my master bathroom mosaic glass tile. Love it. It reminds me of the ocean. You can see it here if you need a little more of this color.

Sea foam green has always been one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing all those images! You might have inspired me to add a little more sea foam to my life down here in FL!
Oh how I love sea foam green!!! What a beautiful collection of images!
and green apparently makes you happy or relaxes you, something like that. love it!
and how cute is the chow chow??
I liek sea foam green - but latly I've been digging a kelly green
love that duralee fabric. Is it duralee? I like
love it all!! jadeite and pastel blue/green walls have always been a few of my faves!
Love it and we used it in our house and I'm not tired of it yet (rare). But I will admit I get nervous when it begins to approach a sagey-silvery green!! Your examples are perfect!
Oh man, I would hate to be the one to dust the bathroom with all the starfish on the shelves!
My parents painted their front room (living room/parlor) and stairway sea foam green about 20+ years ago. It is still timeless--seriously. It still looks good--just a few accessories need to be updated:)--but the color stays (and WORKS!)
I thought seafoam/jadeite green went out with Martha Stewart's tv set a decade ago? Which, of course, was right around the time I decided it was the BOMB. Don't get me wrong - all my walls are green, but I've been trying to wean myself off of the minty bubblegum stuff for going on 8 years now.
I want to live in this story. The first image stole my heart. The rest are saved for my dream home in the deep south when my work is done in New York. Inspiring...
That hallway from domino has always been a favorite of mine and that bedroom from veranda will stay in my inspiration folder forever - I love it!
I love sea foam green! Thanks for this lovely collection to look at.
hi = thanks for the shoutout. i love Windsor so much too - and i was so excited to be able to use yards and yards of her fabric!! that never happens. i never get clients who go all out!!!!
love your new windsor floors. i am so jealous of you and megan. i want to paint my floors right now.
Our kitchen has dark seafoam green tile floors and light wood cabinets. We do not want to paint the cabinets or change the tiles so what color can we paint the walls or do back splash that will go well with everything? the rest of our house has light tan colored walls so if I painted the kitchen the same color, there wouldn't be much contrast and we have a very open floor plan. Right now the walls have 80s hunters green and off white wall paper. Yuck!
