On going Obsession: Manuel Canovas

I’m constantly saving images of fabrics that I love. I file them away for client inspiration and then of course there is a massive section of fabric I hope to use in my own home use. For a while now Manuel Canovas fabrics have been quickly filling up my binder.

The one that constantly pops into my head is Misia:

Not only am I obsessed with my dream fabric covering those chairs, but how chic is that dining set!
MANUELCAN

I always love a floral print matched with a geometric one. It's a perfect combo.

MANUELCAN2

Again dream fabric, with geometric print and now a little polka dot as well.

MANUELCAN3

Nailhead trim and dream fabric!

I’m kinda obsessed with it. It must make it’s way into my home. Only one little snag it is a bit pricey.. it retails for over $300 and, but being a decorator has it's perks I can get in in the low $100’s, but it’s a two yard min.

We shall see…Anyone else interested in getting a yard? Email me (cpavone0107@gmail.com) if you want to split the 2 yd min.

What's on your list as your dream fabric? Come on leave me a comment and share your obsession with me. We can form our own support group for it. :)

Dream fabrics include anything from Quadrille, China Seas and Alan Campbell. They have the most lovely fabric and they too have a minimum (something like 5 yards), which can become pretty costly at over $150/yard! It's fun to dream, isn't it?

Happy long weekend!

Right now I'm loving the Thom Filicia for Kravet Faux Bois fabric! I want it for the seating bench in our basement... but need to find somewhere in Toronto that sells it....

Having fun reading up on all of your obsessions!

*Some states require interior designers to be licensed. This is not the case for every state you need to check the state in which you will be working.

In the state of NY I believed you need to be licensed. I haven't taken the exam nor do I plan on taking it at the moment. That is why I call myself an interior decorator not designer.

Regardless all you need to get access to to the trade companies is your resale #, business card, business bank account and references from other to the trade companies you already have accounts with.

Hope that helps!

I ADORE that fabric too. I bought two pillows last year and have never used them- they didn't work for my home. I just could not pass them up. I'd love to see them go to a good home- If you are interested let me know and we can talk price! Love your blog! Lynda

When I saw your post this fabric popped in my head (https://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=5bad1509-faae-424e-a121-6c66c5ee3ec3), but now that I look at them together, it is not nearly as similar as I thought.

I found the fabric at french-brand.com for $142/yd, no yardage minimum. The $40 shipping to the US will still get you, though!
