To Bling or not to Bling

I found this image last night while getting my magazine fix with my latest favorite,
Canadian House & Home

Only problem is many of the items in the magazine are only available in Canada. So that's a big old Boo! Plus it's insanely difficult to use their images, because they make up sign up and pay for a digital subscription. I hope US shelter mags don't start doing this.

It took forever to get this image on my computer. My scanner was not being very helpful and to top it up my computer wasn't helping much either.

Finally I head up to bed and show my husband with excitement this amazing tile and he hates it and calls it blingy and tells me it belongs in Jay-Z's kitchen. Geez tell me how you really feel.

So, let me know what you think. I really like it. It's a different spin for a back splash.

Plus I love the ceiling color as well!

I really love it. Awesome. You just have to decide if you want to live with the bling all the time. It's definitely going to create a vibe in there & make sure you -haha sadly both of you!- will love it on a daily basis. so cool

L,

I love the tile as well, but it totally doesn't go in my home. I think I'll have to file it away for my dream kitchen.

Damn those husbands of ours for actually having to have a say. Which is why to this day my home is without a ghost chair. I swear one of these days I'm just going to sneak one in.

What is wrong with men? Ugg, my BF wont let me do ANYTHING in the apartment without his consent, and does he have any style? NOPE, not an ounce in his body- it makes it SO frustrating when trying to decorate. Actually to be honest, lately I dont ask for advice anymore and just tell him its been that way forever, or I've had something forever i'm just using it again :)

I think the tile is great, I would use it in a heartbeat. Sometimes I just have to do things and hope the hubby will like it after, that is usually the case. With tile though, I don't think my tactics would work. So many days I feel like a marriage counselor over a decorator, husbands ALWAYS have opinions, even when they say they don't!

I personally wouldn't want bling in my kitchen (I don't think)- but this photo is beautiful! Love it.

I like it! Didn't Lauren from The Hills have this or something really similar on her backsplash?

I like the tile...just a variation of a stainless steel, yes? I'm very lucky after being married for 27 years that my husband will just agree to most ideas realizing that I'm going to do it anyway (or not do it after obsessing about it for weeks)

Think it's beautiful with the ceiling color - but also think you'd have to be someone with the resources to change it once it got stale...

I love it...but it'd definitely need to be in limited quantities. I'm putting this in my dream kitchen file!

I really like all the penny-dot tiles, but hadn't seen them in stainless...they look stiking here.

Thanks for visiting my blog, and for your comments. There is lots of eye candy here, on yours, and I'm gonna check it out for a while :)

I love it.

And Sarah, Lauren from the Hills had the stainless version which can be gotten from Walker Zanger tile and stone. They're expensive as hell.
