She hits pause studios

During my lovely outing on Sunday I hit pause when I saw the work of Matt Schwartz. Matt along with his business partner Kate Shawver own She hit pause Studios.

This was the first piece that caught my eye and made me stop.

I love how each piece looks aged and a bit washed out. Matt takes polaroid pictures and rubs the negatives on to water color paper the result is a polaroid transfer that looks like a vintage photo!

They immediately reminded me of images straight out of an Anthropologie catalog and when I got home and did some research it turns out his work is sold in some Anthro stores.

Not only is Matt selling his prints at Brooklyn Flea, but he also has an etsy shop. Lucky brides in the NY AREA are even able to book him for their weddings!

Totally regretting not picking one up! Especially his framed prints that come in amazing reclaimed wood frames. Ah it will have to go on my Christmas wish list!

Do you have any  items already on your wish list?

Thanks for the introduction! These are really, really cool...I'd say brides in NY area are so lucky indeed!

Wow, I love. They remind me of childhood and give me warm fuzzies. They kinda remind me of some of my favorite prints by bomobob on etsy. I have a bunch of their old-timey carnival prints framed in my office, LOVE.

I love She.Hit.Pause! I first came across the talented team last Christmas in the Union Square holiday market and after several hints via my blog, my bf got me one of their photographs (wooden frame included). I was ecstatic!
