Lovebirds
Rita Konig’s entryway that was featured in Domino mag has always been a favorite of mine.
I love the black back drop and love that the birds are paired together like little couples.
Of course it’s no surprise to find out that the paper was designed by design legend Nina Campbell aka Rita’s mom. (Lucky girl!)
The design was inspired by a Parisian flower shop known as Odorantes. Both Rita & Nina were quite taken the shops dark walls, collection of taxidermy including butterflies and birds and the vibrant flowers that simply popped in the space.
The wallpaper also comes in a lighter color way:
When I stumbled upon this fabric for only $15 a yard I thought it would make for a good look alike:
If you don’t want to make the commitment of wallpaper then framing some fabric can give you a similar look or attach it to a wall with these DIY instructions (I’m dying to try this out!)
Have you seen any lovebird prints in fabric or wallpaper that I must know about? Share!

About a year ago I came agross some fabric in a thrift store that looked exactly like the paper in Rita Konig's home. I am still kicking myself for not buying it! Hate when that happens!
Look at you with your fun facts! I love it! This paper has always been one of my faves

I loved Rita's house in Domino too. Her taste is fabulous.
I have never seen it before. But I can say the version with the black background would look gorgeous in a small half bathroom with the right lighting. I love how dark and dramatic it is.
i LOVE rita kong's entryway...i love her apartment too but that's beside the point:)
Yes!! great wallpaper! if you fabric the walls, let us know how it turns out!! i bet it would look great!
Cute- I love the dark background of the entryway one.
I have this photo in my inspiration folder! Loved the black wallpaper but seeing the white wallpaper I'll admit I like it equally as well!
