Here are some of my favorites:
I could have easily used all of the items above in the same home. I loved the many pops of orange, the asian influence in some of the furniture pieces and of course the fact that I could have walked away with everything for around $1,000.
You need to keep an open mind while thrift shopping. During my first loop around the store I really didn't see much, but after checking the whole place out I realized that many of second glance pieces had a similar vibe.
Immediately I started picturing some pieces with a coat of paint, a fun toss pillow and a pair of lamps and knew that they could be stunning if they all came home with me.
What are your favorite tips for shopping a thrift store?
P.S. : I've gotten many emails from readers seeing if I'm currently taking on clients. I know it can be a bit confusing, because my portfolio site hasn't officially launched, but I've been taking on clients for about a year now. So if you need any help decorating virtually or locally (NY tri-state area) or know of anyone that needs help feel free to contact me or pass along my info to friends and family. :) You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
