Ringing in the New Year!

To all my lovely blogger friends. Thank you so much for embracing me into the blog world with open arms. All of your comments and emails have meant the world to me. I have loved gaining such a great group of girlfriends. I can't wait for all the new things that await in 2009.

I hope you are all enjoying your New Years Eve! I went to the supermarket (woo hoo), made dinner and cleaned up after dinner (double woo hoo) and will now be changing out of my skinny jeans and into some comfy clothes to head down to the man den and play Wii with my hubby.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Since I'm not out partying like a rock star I'll leave you all with a clip from one of my favorite movies. ( I know how many favorites can I have?)

I love this party scene in the cool NYC loft, classic late 80s clothes and the final smooch between Harry and Sally.

I'll see you all in 2009.

xoxo

Fountain of Youth

Forever Young by shopping at Forever 21.

Who doesn't love this store. It's always been my go-to store for trendy items, but in the last couple of months I have started to try not shop as frequently and save a bit and spend a little a lot more more money and get better quality items, but truth be told I find it shocking to spending $200 on a shirt, skirt etc so I always head out to Nordstrom Rack, Century 21 or Off 5th Ave to try and get designer deals.

I still leave Forever 21 in the mix, because I always find something there that is a must have. Most of my costume jewelry is from there and no one ever knows. Also while I have some fancy designer jeans in my closet they rarely make an appearance, because I'm constantly in my Forever 21 finds. They make the best jeans! On Christmas Eve I actually made a quick jaunt into Forever 21 and came out with an amazing pair of skinny jeans for $12.99!!!

I guess it's all about the way you present yourself, because I always get numerous compliments on my finds. People are shocked when I let them in on my little secret as to where the items are from. Lately I've started to respond that items are from a, "little boutique in the city" in order to keep the mystery of it all going.

So with the new year ahead of us I always wonder if this is a year that I can still continue shopping at Forever 21. I've recently hit 27 and keep wondering when I will stop shopping there. Oh well hopefully I'll get away with it for another year.

Where are your go to places for steals and deals? Let me in on your "little boutiques in the city."

Hey, it's okay...

One of my favorite parts of getting Glamour magazine every month is reading their, "Hey, it's okay sections". I always get a little laugh, because normally I'm guilty of at least one the items on their list.

In my December issue I found something I was guilty of that made me realize that I'm not the only one.

It went something like this, " It's okay to get all your latest cool music picks from the Hills".

In recent year television sitcoms have really stepped it up a notch with their song choices. I remember downloading songs heard on Dawson's Creek, Felicity and more recently Grey's Anatomy. I always felt oh so cool looking up the songs and then getting to search for other songs that the artists for that episode had done in order to find new cool songs. Never ever telling people where I found them.

My most recent gem for undiscovered music is my baby sister. She always knows who is up and coming and makes me listen to songs that I've never heard before by people that I've never heard of.

This Christmas my lovely parents gifted me with an IPOD NANO. I'm probably the only person in the free world that didn't have one yet, but I've finally hoped on the bandwagon. So now I need to fill it with great songs for a soundtrack to my life. I'm already begged baby sister to help me pick out songs and just fill it up for me. One of her latest finds that was new to me is:

The Vitamin String Quartet was formed in L.A.in 1999. They took popular songs from all genres and update it by performing it in a string quartet. The outcome in perfection plus it's always fun to listen for a couple of seconds and try and figure out what song remake you are listening to.

Take a listen and pass it on so you can be uber cool as well.

Give me tiaras and boys in tights any day...

Another one of my all-time favorite movies is.... CENTERSTAGE!

I remember waiting on a very long line for this movie my freshman year of college. The line was well worth it. We all left the theater in love with dance even more and wanting to take some salsa lessons.

While this isn't an Oscar worthy movie by any means it is a fun glimpse into the world of dance. I loved it. Yes the acting is not so hot and the story line is totally cheesy, but it still made it's way into my heart. I could watch it over and over again.

By now you either love my movie taste or think that everything I watch has gotten horrid reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

To those that enjoy my movie taste then you will be thrilled to read that they came out with a sequel to Center Stage. Center Stage: Turn it up is not going to be in theaters, but it is going to be on TV tonight on Oxygen at 6pm!

So knowing how sequels go this one will probably be horrible, but lets not judge a book by it's cover. I'm going to give it a chance and watch it tonight. These hours better fly by because I can't wait to see what the American Ballet Company is up to.

Say Cheese!

Welcome back everyone!

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday.

I'm so sad that my days off are over, but since this is a short work week I'm hoping it will fly by.

Now on to more important news....

I got a digital SLR camera!!! Woo hoo!!! My hubby actually listens!

Ok kind of listens. I really wanted the Canon Camera that Erika has and I hinted at it quite a bit, but when my hubby went out and got some opinions and help they pushed him towards the Nikon D60.

So what's a girl to do. Do I keep the Nikon or switch it for the Canon? My hubby is totally fine either way.

I've tried looking online for reviews and both seem comparable. I really love Erika's pictures which is why I was leaning towards the Canon, but I know Nikons are great as well.

Ah! Help.

What would you do?

Exhausted!

Picture from here.

I know this is a bit delayed, but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I'm oh so tired. Christmas Eve was spent running last minute errands and getting ready for Christmas Eve dinner at my parents. We were up till 3am, opening gifts and chatting. Then this morning we headed out to my in-laws to do Christmas day with them. It's now almost 11pm and I've finally had time to open up the laptop and write.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday filled with friends, family and of course gifts. Santa was very good to me this year. I'll be posting my favorite things tomorrow.

Anyone venturing out shopping tomorrow? I don't think it's in the cards for me, but I will be making a trip to Home Depot to pick out some paint and make some finishing touches in my bedroom. Stay tuned for pics when it's all said and done.

Goodnight to all.

xoxo

Weekend Get-away

As you can see vacations are on my brain. I'm itching to go somewhere and while I would love to go across the pond and visit with Kelly Hoppen and take part in her awesome design school it's not gonna happen any time soon.

My latest travel fascination is Nantucket! My 3rd year wedding anniversary is coming up in January (Yes I'm nutty and I got married in the oh so cold winter) and I'm thinking that instead of buying each other gifts we should head out of town for a long weekend.

How amazing is this new hotel, VERANDA HOUSE in Nantucket?

In finding this gem I was introduced to the work of Boston designer, Rachel Reider. AMAZING! I bow down to her. Everything she does is exactly my design style. I would feel completely at home with any of the rooms she has designed.

Here is a peek of some of her residential work:

Don't you want to make her your new best friend?

Beautiful work!

Highest Bidder

A while back when I asked for some feedback on how to gain new clients I was given the advice to auction off my services by Marianne. The opportunity then presented itself to have my services auctioned at an event being held by my friend, Liz's mother so that was an additional piece to the puzzle in gaining new clients. Lastly, but not least I got some great advice and business knowledge from a pro in the business and amazing new friend, Lauren!

I want to thank you lovely ladies for all your help. I spent the last week getting everything together and I now have two great packages to offer for the auction.

In one basket I placed some Champagne, glasses and my services for Event Styling and in a plain paint can I made up some stickers with my company name and added some stylish tape measures, reed diffuser, note pad and I copy of a new home design book(it didn't make it into the picture, but it will be auctioned together with the paint can) Along with the cute accessories you also get my services for decorating a room of your choice.

Hopefully these two packages will get auctioned off to a great new home and I'll get to have fun with some new clients.

Rolling with your Homies

* I will update with their link when they get their nominations post up and running*

Read my lips

One of my favorite things in the world is lip gloss and or balm. I just love the stuff. One of my favorite brands that I love giving out as inexpensive gifts is the dual sided lip gloss from TARTE. Not only do you get two lipglosses for the price of one, but my favorite part of them is course their names for the colors.

The lip glosses get their names from favorite Hollywood couples throughout the years.Such as Slone and Ferris (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Baby and Jonnie (Dirty Dancing), Llyod and Diane (Say Anything) and Westley and Buttercup (Princess Bride) just to name a few. They make for a great solo gift or add the DVD as well and make a lady in life feel really special.

Spring Break!!!!

Yes I'm already thinking about Spring Break. I wish I was still in school and actually got to have some sort of break, but alas that is not the case. I never went on a traditional Spring Break vacation to M-E-X-I-C-O, but this year I'm itching for a vaca, but not like the one pictured above.

Since I was in the British spirit yesterday due to my MASH picks, that told me I was destined to live in London it got me to check in on one of my favorite Interior Designer, the lovely Kelly Hoppen. I was so excited to see that Kelly offers a design school and there is a new one that is going to be held in Spring 2009!

What a thrill it would be to learn from this mastermind behind these beautiful rooms:

So it's only 2,921 pounds plus air fair, plus time off from work. So Ladies start passing the collection cup around and help me get some dollars together to learn from the best.

Ah. Wishful thinking I know.

I wonder if any NY based designer offer design schools as well?

* MASH *

I use to love playing the game, MASH when I was younger. In it you got to figure out who you were going to marry, where you were going to live, how many kids you were going to have, what you were going to drive, what your career would be and most importantly would you live in a Mansion, Apartment, Shack, or House.

I was thinking about this game last night on my way home from work. I've had a couple of really stressful weeks with work getting busy and annoying and an extremely long to-do list that I'm not sure will ever get finished. I don't think I've cooked dinner for my husband in over a month. Thankfully he doesn't mind, but I still feel like a horrible wife.

I've been so busy that yesterday I didn't even have time to post. When I got home from Christmas shopping at 10pm I still had office work to do from home and before I knew it the clock struck midnight.

So please join me in la la land and go back to a time when things were much easier and you got play a round of MASH and have your life figured out for you in a couple of seconds.

Here were my results:

House:

I picked a lovely townhouse from here

House will be in LONDON:

Maybe I should have picked her house to live in?

I will be driven around in own LIMO:

I picked a Mini-Coop since I get to be British!

I'm going to have 5 kids!

Pictures from here

With this beautiful man:

I put in my husband's name as well, but I got my favorite crush from Brothers and Sisters instead.

Lucky me also gets to have my dream job: Interior Designer

This office belongs to the extremely talented Erika! Hope she doesn't mind that I borrowed her picture. I just love her office.

One for them and Three for me!

Whenever I'm out shopping for others I always find something that peaks my interest and I end up purchasing it for myself.

I'm sure many of you do the same thing as well. At least I hope I'm not the only one!

Over the weekend while finishing up my online shopping I was thrilled to find my beloved Iosselliani jewels at 30% at Tobi by using the coupon code HOLIDAYTIME.

Take a peek at what can be all yours:

Iosselliani Stacked Rings(Set of 5) originally $270, but with code $189!

Iosselliani Bangle Bracelets originally $376, but with code $263.20!

Iosselliani Emerald Gemstone Bangle Bracelets originally $426, but with code $298.20!

Happy shopping!

That's mint!

Image via Flickr

I'm probably dating myself by using the word, Mint to describe something that I find awesome, but oh well. I just looked up the word Mint in slang terms and it comes up a reference for the 80's. We'll I didn't start hearing it till the early nineties so maybe I'm not dating myself too much.

One of my new favorite activities that has been catching my attention for a rather lengthy amount of time while at work is going onto Minted the latest in fashionable paper invitations and photo cards. I have yet to order anything, because I don't really have any events going on in the near future, but I do enjoy looking at all of their latest design challenge contestants. They always have a different theme contest going on either designing a birthday invite for the princess of the house or a bridal shower invite for a fashionista. I love looking at all of the entries and seeing what all of these amazing graphic designers have thought of.

While on this site I not only found a graphic designer that totally fits my style to a tea, but I was happy to find out that she was also a fellow blogger.

Enter, Ciao Tay ! How cute is she! She is a petite, color obsessed, pattern loving, graphic designer from down south. She also looks like quite the fashionista from her pictures and totally a girl's girl. As you all know I'm in the process of starting my own business and one of things on my to-do was to find a graphic designer to help me with my website. I think I finally find a web server thanks to much help from Cassandra and Michelle and now I think I've meet my match with Taylor.

Now all I have to do is actually find the time to call up Ms. Taylor. With the busy holiday season and I couple of swamped work weeks we have yet to speak, but have exchanged emails so I'm hoping she'll be able to help me out with Effortless Style Interiors!

I wanna Score tonight

One of my favorite scenes from Grease 2 is the sing along that takes part in the Bowling Alley. I haven't been bowling since Middle School, but every time I see this scene I want to run out to the nearest bowling alley and put on communial shoes and bowl!

With Christmas right around the corner I don't really have the time right now to get a group together for bowling, but one of my favorite holiday treats that always seems to be emailed around is Elf Bowling!

I become a crazed women when I see this is my in-box. Whenever I want to take a little break from my work I will put it on and bowl for a little and let out some holiday stress.

Help! I need somebody...

Ladies and maybe some Gents I'm calling out for some help. I'm having every decorator's constant dilemma, that being completely at a standstill over what to do in my own home. The final room in my house to be decorated is the dining room. It took me months to find the perfect dining room set. I finally found a table and set of chairs that I liked and then it came in damaged and looking a bit pink instead of white. After numerous fights with the store it all went back and I got a full refund. That same weekend I was searching online and decided to check at Pottery Barn, West Elm , Crate and Barrel. I like everyone else thinks their catalogs are great, but I never wanted anything from them in my house, because I felt it didn't exude any character and I didn't want to have set that would be in many other homes as well. I happened to check out PB's clearance section and found a modern take on a Parson style table and an updated version of a Chippendale chair. It came in a wonderful aged teak type color (which I figured wouldn't be popular with most) and at a fabulous price so I ordered it along with the server and then went to some local thrift stores in search of a China Cabinet piece. I found an amazing piece at a store near by and when I went to pay the lovely lady at the desk reduced it even more and I ended up paying $126 for the China Cabinet and then only $50 for delivery. What a steal. Everything was delivered rather quickly. I got my new selection in 2 weeks as oppose to the 4 plus months it took to get my original set in.

The China Cabinet is going to be painted white and that is a project for an upcoming weekend. Hopefully I can get a jump start on it this weekend. I originally painted the dining room a sidewalk gray and while I like the color it is looking a bit blue to me lately and I'm not thrilled with that. The color scheme that I was going for in this room was a yellow/gray combo, but I'm open to other color combos. I would ideally love a wallpaper in this room, but I have yet to find anything that has me jumping for joy.

I did find a fabric in which I enjoyed the color combo:

But this is where my inspiration ends. I'm at a stand still. I want it done fast, but I don't want it done wrong so I'm waiting till something inspires me to get this room finished. So here is where I beg you all for help. Any ideas? Favorite wallpaper? Must have lighting fixture? Perfect wall color?

Help a sister out! Please! Tis the season.

Man of Mine Gift Guide

This list took a bit longer than expected. I kept picking out items only to then have my husband tell me that my pick was so 2 years ago. So here is my final version of the Men's gift guide. All have been pre-approved by my hubby so hopefully the man in your life would enjoy them as well.

1. When we moved into our home part of the deal was my husband would get his own room. A man den as some would call it. Our basement has become the man den filled with a huge flat screen and 2 gaming systems. In order to make it more fun and totally his I purchased a Neon Sign for him last Christmas. He loved it. It can be custom made to say whatever you like in whatever color you like. Plus the price won't break the bank.

2. This is the perfect gift for a person that has everything. My husband is dying for pair of these Air Trekkers, but I'm only seeing broken bones. If the man in your life is the life of the party and loves adventure than these Jumping Stilts are for him. These babies will allow him to jump 15 feet high and run 20 miles per hour.

3. Hail to the Queen. If your mate is from across the pond of just loves the hip design of the Union Jack flag then this wallet is the gift this season. Made by designer Ben Sherman in fine black leather along with it's slim fit design is a great gift for the man of the go that considers style in his accessory choices.

4. I heart nerds and I think this watch would make any nerd a happy nerd. Time is displayed graphically from left to right by featuring vertical bars for hours and minutes.

5. This item literally stopped my husband in his tracks on one of our recent outings. My husband is constantly checking the weather in order to see if he'll be able to take out his motorcycle (Yes he had a mid life crisis a bit early in life) or what the weekend is going to look like for his fishing trips. This handy dandy device requires no Internet connection or plug. It gives you a 5 day forecast direct from AccuWeather, provides you with the high and low temps for the day, time and the next 4 days weather. It can be placed on the refrigerator, placed on your bed stand or mounted on a wall.

6. Men and beer always seem to be a popular mix. If you hate the sight of beer caps all over your floor than this is the perfect gift for both you and your male sidekick. This new modern bottle cap remover inspired by the shape of water droplet not only looks sleek in your bar, but it is magnetic and holds on to the beer cap.

7. Survivor Man is one of my husbands all time favorite shows. With the purchase of this Handheld Water Purifier the man in your life could be his own survivor man. This tiny device makes safe drinking water everywhere within 90 seconds. It creates a UV light that disrupts the DNA of microbes. Without functioning DNA, microbes can't reproduce, which means there is nothing to make you sick. I'm sure my husband would go around purifying everything, but it would make for a perfect gift if your man loves the wilderness and outdoors.

8. Keep Calm and Carry On was one of the very first prints I ordered almost two years ago. It was a popular British poster during WW2. Since then the craze for KC&CO has gone out of hand it's everyone. The lovely couple from Little Brown Pen decided to make up some spoof versions. Log on now and you can order a PDF version for $5! My favorite month is August: Shave chest and Suck in Gut! Perfect stocking stuffer for all the men in your life. *Woman's version also available.

9. Peter Pan Syndrome. If the man in your life is still a child at heart then this is the perfect unique gift item for him. This Doodles coloring book has over 400 pages and is filled with illustrations by renowned children's book artist, Taro Gomi. The pages are filled with starts of doodles that let you use your imagination and finish up the page. A great little add-on to this would be some Smencials! I already ordered two books for 2 different Dirty Santa parties that I need to attend.

10. Men are men. Enough said. I think men of all different types would get a kick over this item.

11. My husband did have one final wish list item, but couldn't seem to find much info on it. I feel like every male I know would want one of these on their Christmas wish list as well.

Yummy in my Tummy

I had an insanely busy day at work today. Lots to do and not enough time. So much work that I've been working from home everyday and tonight wasn't any different. I was a completley cranky lady as I settled into my home office (aka my comfy bed) and got to work.

The only thing that put a smile of my face was being able to munch on this:

This is my new favorite chocolate treat. It's called, Marabou Daim and it's made in Sweden. Lucky me got to taste it due to the fabulous Allison as part of my give away prize.

My darling husband just saw how much I ate and proceeded to tell me I ate 700 calories of chocolate within 2 days. Ah!!!! Doesn't he know I'm cranky.

O' Christmas Tree

Sunday was spent searching for new ornaments and purchasing our tree. I toyed with the idea of a fake tree. I really wanted a white faux Christmas tree, but it got nixed by everyone. So, boo to them, but I gave in and got a real one. We found the perfect tree and it looks wonderful in my living room. We got really cute lights this year that look like little pearls. We then decided to go with aqua, silver, cream and even some black ornaments! I'm still missing a tree skirt, but that will be coming soon.

Here is a close up shot of some of the ornaments:

Here is a shot of the mantle. It's my first year with a fireplace and I'm very excited about it. I finally found stockings that I purchased last year and then completely forgot where I put them when we moved in. Whoops, but all is well, because now they just need to be hung.

*** I want to paint the fireplace white, but Hubby doesn't want to. What are your thoughts?***

Finally a peak at my bangs! I'm still getting use to them. At times I feel like a little kid with them, but I still think they are pretty cool. I keep playing hair stylist and trimming them. I left the salon with them way too long. Also see my two of my favorite furry men. Moo is on the chair with me and our latest addition, Bear(Birthday present for moi) is below.

The Ultimate Love/Skate Relationship

When the weather outside is frightful one of my favorite things to do is stay indoors, order take-out and watch one of my many movies. Always on the top of my list is, The Cutting Edge! I love this movie! I can't express it enough. I would even go to say it makes my top ten list of favorite movies.

What's not to love? We have the King of the Rink (Doug Dorsey) and America's Ice Queen (Kate Moseley) who both have dreams of winning an Olympic medal just not together. Well enter a hockey injury for Doug and skating partners that won't stick around for Kate and we have a match made in heaven.

I was lucky enough to see this movie in the theaters the first time around for my BFF's birthday during my Elementary school years. I've lost touch with that BFF, but this movie stuck with me.

I make everyone around me watch it whether they want to or not and most end up loving it in the end.

I'm not going to lie, it's completely cheesy, the costumes are awful and the soundtrack is even worse, but that's what makes it great in my eyes.

So run out and get this movie to get you thru those chilly, snowy nights. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll get to see Doug and Kate fall in love.

What are your favorite stay in movies to watch?

*** Stay tune for Christmas tree pictures when I get home. I finally decorated my living room and I love it! ***

Seriously?

Author has always been one of my dream careers. What can I say. I want to dip into a little bit of everything for my ultimate career goal. Ideally I would love to be a chic-er, newer version of Martha Stewart without all that nasty jail time drama. My dream book to write would totally be classified as Chick Lit as opposed to some decorating/baking/entertaining book that Martha would be writing, but I would make my leading lady work in interior design. I've filled numerous notebooks with starting chapters and then have always given up. I never really thought that I could actually make it as a writer, but it was always fun to try.

Well last week I was hit with quite the shock when the morning show was interviewing the latest author to hit the press circuit, Alec Greven, a 4th grade from Colorado! He has written a self help book on dating called How to Talk to Girls and began selling handwritten copies of his book when he was 8. Apparently it was a big hit at a book sale in school and HarperCollins took notice.

You can now go out and purchase his 46 page hit that contains tidbits like:

"Comb you hair and don't wear sweats"

"Pretty girls are like cars that need a lot of oil"

"It is easy to spot pretty girls because they have big earrings, fancy dresses and all the jewelry"

Seriously? Words like this get you published? I know we are so suppose to think he is super cute and run out and pick up the book, but sorry I'm not falling for it. If anything I'm now insanely jealous that I didn't think to write my best seller at the tender age of 7!

So would be authors it's not too late. If this kid can get published we should all be getting book deals!

Shop it to me

Image via Flickr

I have a tendency to treat myself to gifts while shopping for others. It kinda goes 1for so and so and 3 for me!!!!

This addiction has advanced due to Shop it to me. This site is like having a free personal shopper that provides you with daily emails on the latest sale items at all your favorite stores that are available in your sizes only.

It cuts out all of the work of sorting thru numerous sites and checking if they have it in your size. I spend a good portion of my morning when time allows virtually shopping.

I just purchased this lovely classic coat the other day due to an email at Bluefly.

A Bull in a China Shop

Most girls heart swoon over the vision of an amazing closet. We all know and love the scene in Sex and the City in which Carrie asks Big for a closet instead of an engagement ring. The finished product is perfection and I like every other woman was completely jealous in seeing it.

I've always loved clothes, shoes and handbags, but now as a home owner I found myself putting my house before myself. Instead of purchasing a new pair of boots I now put that money towards dinnerware, glasses and silverware.

Now a days this is the type of closet that makes my heart flutter:

Image via House Beautiful

Amazing!!! This gorgeous room belongs to none other than: Bunny Williams. It is a closet for all of her China pieces. I love the huge island that she picked to go in the room. It makes it so easy to try out different tablescapes before your guests arrive.

In the know

Want to get an insiders look into your favorite Interior Designers world? Well now you can by settling in with the fabulous new book, Inspired Styles.

This book follows 15 designers that work with Lee Jofa and Kravet Fabrics and Furnishings company. Learn about what inspires them with first person text by the designers themselves. Along with amazing photographs of their works.

Queen of the Trellis, Kelly Wearstler is one of the featured designers in this book.

Mini Me

So, I've had an ongoing argument with my husband for a couple of years now over my love of Lucite. He thinks it's screams ladies of the night (to put it politely) and I'm over the moon in love with the sleek lines and modern design of it all.

Due to this I'm without a Ghost Chair in my life. I've added it again to my Christmas Wish List, but I don't think it will be under my Christmas Tree this year. But I've found a loophole this month!

Enter my latest love: The Lou Lou Ghost Chairs for tiny tots. Oh my! How cute. I've already made an agreement with my husband that whenever we have a little mini me/him this is so going in his/her nursery.

It comes in a variety of shades making it easy to match with any decor.

Plus I think that if this lady has to carry a child for 9 months and then deliver it she should be intitled to a Ghost Chair of her own!

* Editors Note: I'm not pregnant just thought it was too cute to pass up, but now that I get Lucite out of the deal I might speed up the process :)

All I want for Christmas

I'm sure my hubby will be happy this year when I tell him some of the items on my Christmas wish list are free. No, it's not his love, but these two beautiful homes!

First up is this amazing Gothic Revival home that is located in New Hampshire. It's free, but it must be moved off the property. Hmm I don't think my backyard is big enough, but I'm sure I could find some place to put it.

Next up on my wish list is a home fit for a princess. I love this Richardsian Romanesque home complete with 2 towers circa 1860 in Louisville, Kentucky. This house must stay put but, it is free to anyone willing to restore it to it's former glory. I'm willing, but let's just say I'm not financially able to restore it. Boo!

This home doesn't fall into the free category, but with the price of houses these days it is pretty much a steal. For only $34,900 I can be the proud owner of this beautiful 1913 Arts and Crafts Bungalow that once belonged to the Kellog's family. Love their cereal, love their home. A Bungalow style home has always been one of my favorites and I really wanted to live in one, but we don't have many of them on Long Island. So now my hubby can make it up to me and buy me a summer home in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Hmm I wonder where my hubby will find a big enough bow to wrap around this years Christmas Gifts.

Ah! A girl can dream.
